After Retta took a baking class and found she loved it, and feeding my long held desire to get a stand mixer, we did a bunch of research and then splurged…as we are sometimes wont to do…and picked up one of these bad boys:

Need a less floppy golf hat, but one that still has a full brim. I buddy has one of these and says great things about Tilley, so… 7 3/8 in white. :slight_smile:~~

I got it and I love it!

And I’m also looking to swap out my plastic coffee dripper in favor of a more immersion style dripper:

This wasn’t on my list, per se, but Retta got me the King Arthur hamburger bun and mini pie pan for Christmas. I was very lazy and waited until this past weekend to use it. OMG. It’s awesome. I used their Beautiful burger buns recipe and got 6 fantastic burger buns:

They’re like a brioche and definitely hold up well. Still…my next batch I’ll scale the recipe back just a bit to make them a bit lighter.

Or maybe I should go straight to mini-pies.
